Gene has 34 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations, primarily in the western United States. He is considered one of the region’s foremost authorities in the fields of planned giving and advancement. He writes regularly for regional and national publications and speaks in conference settings all over the country. He has been quoted in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and has been asked to testify before the Oregon state legislature on matters involving charitable planning. He is seasoned, and has been successful, in virtually every aspect of the development profession. He conducts visioning and strategic planning sessions for the organizations he serves, provides internal program audits, feasibility and campaign planning assistance, multi-faceted marketing plan development, board presentations, and recruitment services.

Michele Christian

Michele is formerly the Southern California Regional Director for Human Resources with May Company International, an affiliated company of Meier and Frank. In her role, she was in charge of 13 stores and the recruiting, hiring, and retention of 13,000 employees for May Company. She has a marketing and management degree from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree from Chapman University in Human Resources Management.
